How to delete apps on Samsung Smart TV (all models)

What makes a TV ’smart’ is its ability to broadcast online content and connectivity. Regardless of whether you purchase a Smart TV from Samsung or another manufacturer, they all come with pre-installed applications.

Moreover, they also allow you to install more apps from the app store. If you don’t like the SmartHub app and you want to delete it, I will describe the steps to delete apps on any model on Samsung Smart TV.

Modern TVs may have become smart, but they still have limited storage space. My Samsung Q70R series (65 inches) has a capacity of 2.18 GB.

This means that if I install a few more apps and games, the memory will be full in the blink of an eye. To install more apps, I will need to free up space by deleting existing apps. There may be different reasons why we might want to delete apps on our Samsung Smart TV.

  • If the application is not useful to you.
  • Sometimes we install new apps, but later we discover that they are not good enough.
  • Some people just don’t like a lot of apps. The more apps you have, the more effort you will need to navigate to the right app. By deleting apps, we can save our Smart TV from clutter.
  • Samsung Hub doesn’t have hundreds of GB of disk space. If there are too many apps installed on your Samsung Smart TV, you need to delete some apps to add new ones.
