How to cancel image search from any phone

The reverse image search feature allows you to find similar photos or source information based on an image instead of a term or phrase.

If you are using an iOS or Android smartphone, you can also use the Chrome browser to perform a reverse image search.

Hold your finger on the desired image and wait for the pop-up menu to appear. Then you should see the ‘Google Search for this image’ option somewhere at the bottom of the list.

This is a feature of Chrome, so you won’t be able to copy it in the Google app or in Safari.

What about Bing?

If you’re one of the select few who still use Bing on top of Google, you can also do a reverse image search. Open bing.com/images and find the camera icon to select an image. You can choose one from your library or choose one from the internet if you have a URL.

If you allow Bing.com to get access to your phone’s camera, you will also be able to perform a reverse search of the captured photo. This feature is not available in Google.

The biggest advantage of using Bing for these types of searches is that you don’t have to download the desktop version of the website to your smartphone.

Other third-party image search systems

If you are not satisfied with the optimization of the two leading search engines, you can turn your attention to other niche search engines.

TinEye

TinEye already has several billion search queries. When using the phone, the download icon is an arrow pointing upwards.

Click on it and choose whether to use a photo from your SD card, Google Drive or another location. However, there is a downside. TinEye is not completely free, as you only get 150 free searches per week.

The paid option gives you a lot more options, but membership starts at $200 for 5,000 searches, which may be too high a price if you don’t do it for professional reasons.

truthfulness

Truthfulness is free for iOS users. This allows you to download images from storage and find relevant information from search engines such as Google and TinEye. This is a free app that has a lot of ads, so you may have to consider paying a small membership fee to have a convenient browsing experience.

Reversee

Another popular app for iOS Reversee users, This app acts as an intermediary between you and the Google image database.

However, the free version is limited in results. If you want to get results from Google, Bing and Yandex (the Russian version of Bing), you will have to switch to a professional membership.

Last thought

Although Bing is significantly less popular than Google, the instant reverse photo search feature it offers is really worth paying attention to the search engine, especially for these types of queries.

With Bing, you don’t have to wait to take a photo, edit it, save it, then find and upload to the reverse image search function. You can take one of them already on the site and download it immediately.

If you are trying to reduce the time of reverse image search, whether on your phone or on your desktop, Bing may be more useful than Google.
